MyRoute-app offers different maps to plan routes on. These are the maps on which the route calculation is done.

  • Standard (OpenStreetMap)
A popular map used by many online route planners. Uses OpenStreetMap data. A good option to start with.
  • TomTom - Gold
Exactly like on the TomTom devices, so not to be missed if you drive a TomTom and want to avoid deviations. Extensive options for winding routes are available in the toolkit.
  • HERE - Gold
Used in MyRoute-app Navigation and usually corresponds to the route calculation on Garmin devices. Beautiful map with a useful option to prevent seasonal closures, see the toolkit functionalities to learn more about it.

Tip 1: Do you have a favourite map that you always want to use for new routes? Click on "Always use this map for new routes" at the bottom of the menu.

Tip 2: If you want the route calculation of one map, but want to see another map, you can! To do so, use the 'map layers' button in the top right-hand corner of the route editor. For more information about the map layers, see the Manual 'Map Layers'.

Tip 3: In the toolkit, Gold users can compare the route calculation of maps with each other without switching maps. Differences in the route are immediately shown by route lines running apart. Very handy if you plan routes for a large group! For more information about this, please refer to the Manual 'Compare Route calculation' (Gold).
